IDES offices will be closed Thursday, July 4 for the federal holiday, but you can still certify and apply for benefits and access other online resources!  Please note that benefit payments may take longer to process during this time.  Offices will reopen for regular business hours on Friday, July 5.

PUA Application Process

Individuals can still generally apply for PUA within 21 days of receiving a decision on a pending adjudication or appeal that denies regular UI benefits. However, PUA benefits are only payable retroactively through the week ending September 4th, 2021.

You can file a claim for PUA only after you applied for regular unemployment insurance benefits and have been denied. If you have not, click "File for Regular Unemployment Benefits."

If you have applied for regular unemployment insurance benefits and have been denied within twelve months of today’s date, you can now file for PUA.

To learn the requirements and details regarding the PUA program please review our "Learn about PUA" website section which goes into details regarding the application process and potential benefits you may receive if found eligible for the program.

By proceeding you certify your understanding of the program and potential benefits
