Hiring Solutions

IDES assists employers with a range of workforce, hiring, layoff aversion, and training needs, including promoting your jobs in Illinois Job Link.  We will customize services to meet your needs.  Reach out to us at DES.ijoblinkjobs@illinois.gov for information about hiring incentives, training resources, and layoff aversion strategies. Illinois Job Link

Illinois Job Link is a free job board where employers can post jobs, browse thousands of resumes, and recruit candidates.

Resumes of veterans are notated with an American Flag icon next to the job seeker’s name.

Go to Illinois Job Link and click on “Getting Help: Employers” in the yellow box at the top of the page to get started posting your job openings.

Hiring Incentives

You may be eligible for a tax credit of up to $9,600 for new hires.  Learn more about the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) here.  IDES will assist you with verifying WOTC information that you will need to send to the IRS.

IDES can assist you with accessing Fidelity Bonds, a business insurance policy that protects employers against employee dishonesty, theft or embezzlement.  A fidelity bond is no-cost insurance coverage that enables employers to hire job applicants considered to be "at risk" due to their past life experiences.

Apprenticeship

Learn more about how apprenticeship programs and benefit your company and check out Apprenticeship Illinois for all the up-to-date information on how to get started implementing a registered apprenticeship program.
