As of July 8, 2026, IDES will no longer send benefit payments via paper check.  You may select direct deposit or debit card as your method for receiving benefit payments.  If you were receiving paper checks, you will be switched over to debit card payments unless you choose to enroll in direct deposit.

Filing unemployment claims will be unavailable Sunday, July 26th from 12:00 a.m. until noon for a scheduled system upgrade.  Access for claimants will resume Sunday afternoon.

Finding A Claimant ID

  • The Claimant ID can be found in the upper-right of the UI Finding letter, as well as other letters and emails received from IDES.
  • Claimants need to use their Claimant ID to register with ILogin and access their account.
  • Fraud victims can also use the information from a fraudulent UI Finding letter to report the case to IDES.
  • If you did not receive a UI Finding letter, but believe you are a victim of fraud, you must call IDES at (800) 814-0513 to report the fraud.
