ILogin is an identity verification tool that is required to apply online for unemployment insurance and access your IDES online account. ILogin uses the latest cybersecurity tools to protect user data including identity proofing, strong authentication, fraud analytics and threat monitoring. ILogin is used across the state by various agencies such as Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to secure your data. Upon logging in, you may see these accounts appear on your dashboard.

ILogin
ILogin adds a layer of security called Multifactor Authentication (MFA) that is required to access your account. When you create or log into your IDES online account you will be required to verify your identity through an additional factor such as a text message, phone call, Google Authenticator, or OKTA verify. This extra identity confirmation measure helps secure your account and protect your information.

There are four different MFA options to choose from:
- OKTA Verify
To use this option, you must download the OKTA app on your phone. When using this method, a “push” notification will display on your phone asking if you are attempting to sign in. - Google Authenticator
To use this option, you must download the Google Authenticator app on your phone. Once downloaded, set up, and logged in, you will have to go to the Google Authenticator app to retrieve the single-use code (time-sensitive and refreshes periodically) and enter via ILogin. - SMS Authentication
To use this option, an SMS text message will be sent to the phone number you provided when attempting to login. You must enter the single-use code that you receive via text. - Voice Call Authentication
To use this option, you will receive a phone call to the phone number you provided to authenticate your identity and log into your account.
